Andes Green

Inca Red comes from Andean cochineal and red earth. The Inca Empire was the largest pre-Columbian empire; its vivid red textiles astonished Spanish conquerors. The Inca cultivated cochineal-bearing cacti in dry Andean valleys. Wild cochineal cacti still grow in the Cusco Valley near Machu Picchu.

Moroccan Green is an important Islamic symbol. In Islam, green was the Prophet Muhammad's favorite color—he often wore green robes and turbans. Hassan II Mosque's green-tiled minaret stands 210 meters tall. Al-Qarawiyyin University in Fez (world's oldest continuously operating university) also uses extensive green tiles. Moroccan artisans developed unique "zellige" mosaic techniques, cutting green tiles into stars, crosses, and polygons for stunning geometric patterns.

From British Columbia's towering cedars to Vancouver Island's coastal rainforests, Pacific Green defines the West Coast's visual character. For the Haida and other Indigenous peoples, forest and ocean are cultural and spiritual roots.

Amazon Green evokes the planet's largest tropical rainforest. With roughly 10% of Earth's species, its layered canopy creates a green ocean that symbolizes Brazil's ecological identity.

Bamboo Green comes from the skin of fresh bamboo. In Chinese culture, bamboo is one of the "Four Gentlemen," symbolizing nobility, modesty, and resilience. Su Shi's famous line "Rather eat without meat than live without bamboo" captures scholars' love for bamboo.

Pounamu is more than a gemstone; it is sacred in Māori culture, carved into fish hooks, pendants, and short clubs. Each piece carries a name and lineage, symbolizing mana and ancestral connection. New Zealand's South Island is known as Te Wai Pounamu.
