Inca Red

Andes Green comes from Andean emeralds and malachite. The Inca considered green the color of life—Andean green valleys were the Inca civilization's granary. The Inca developed complex terrace agriculture at 3,000m altitude. Machu Picchu's surrounding emerald mountains, perpetually shrouded in mist, are called the "City in the Clouds."

Cinnabar is one of China's oldest pigments, used for pottery decoration since the Neolithic Age. After Qin Shi Huang unified China, cinnabar became the standard color for official seals, giving rise to the term "vermillion brush" for imperial decrees.

Holi Red comes from India's most spectacular color festival. Every spring, Indians throw colored powder celebrating good's victory over evil and winter's end. The festival originates from Hindu mythology—demon Hiranyakashipu tried to burn his devout son Prahlad, who survived through Vishnu's protection. On Holi, caste, gender, and age barriers dissolve as everyone colors each other.

In the 1920s the international racing body assigned colors to nations; Italy received red. Ferrari elevated the tradition, making Ferrari Red the ultimate symbol of speed, passion, and Italian craftsmanship. Every red prancing horse carries Enzo Ferrari's dream.

Canada's flag centers a simple, powerful red maple leaf flanked by red bars representing the Pacific and Atlantic. The maple leaf has symbolized Canada since the 18th century, and the sugar maple's crimson autumn foliage captivates travelers.

Spanish Red animates flamenco skirts, bullfighter capes, and La Tomatina. It represents the peninsula's fierce sun and intense artistic expression, from Velázquez's court paintings to Gaudí's mosaics.
